Biography

Shanshan Zhang received a PhD from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Science in 2015 in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She later worked in the Biology Institute of Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) as an assistant researcher. Her main research interests include the discovery of bioactive substances from natural sources and research and development of functional foods.

Research

Dr Shanshan Zhang establish the extraction and purification process method of the bioactive peptides and phospholipid from marine organism. Furthermore, the identification method of bioactive chemical compositions from TCM is also investigated. In recent years , the functional foods derived from active ingredients have been carried out.
